Turning up the energy levels we turn to a perennial favourite, SPOCK : San Antonio’s Punk Band. Songs from their latest EP, “The SPOCK Files” have been featuring on playlists everywhere for good reason. We love that EP but this week we have reached back to earlier in the year with fond memories of blasting out “Communication Lost” in the garden during that very brief Summer. We’ve chosen “Why Can’t It Be (The Nothing Song)” for its signature SPOCK sound. This is pure original punk with attitude, energy, driving drums and a crisp crunchy guitar rhythm. But what elevates this above the norm is the sheer musicality and the virtuosity - just catch those pitch-perfect vocals and the fancy bass lines. Melodic punk at its best.     ~Whiskey Club~

SPOCK “Boarding Flight”
Boarding Flight by these San Antonio punk legends is a damn blast! The track kicks in like a shot of tequila and doesn’t stop until you’re left headbanging and grinning like an idiot. After a long break, the original crew is back at it, and they’ve got that same raw punk energy that made Americans Do It Better! a cult classic. Only this time, they’ve cranked up the volume and added a little extra bite. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s got that reckless spirit that makes punk rock so goddamn addictive. The guitars rip through the track like a speeding jet, while the rhythm section slams like a sledgehammer to the chest. And those vocals? Total attitude—gritty, unapologetic, and perfect for screaming along with your friends in a sweaty dive bar. Boarding Flight is a total joyride of a song. It’s the kind of track that makes you want to throw your fists in the air, yell “f*** yeah!” and dive into the chaos of life without a second thought. If this is what these guys sound like coming back, we’re in for a wild ride.       ~E:W:L Indie Review Show~

SPOCK

Skate Punk Band

Founded In 1995

Formed in the gritty streets of San Antonio back in 1995, SPOCK quickly made a
name for themselves as one of the most electrifying skate punk bands to come out of the Texas underground scene. With their blistering guitar riffs, pounding drums, and raw, unfiltered energy, SPOCK became local legends, tearing up stages at iconic venues like Tacoland, Wackys, Winner Circle Lounge, Showcase and DMZ. Opening for iconic bands like Blink-182, Goldfinger, Good Riddence, Prapagandhi, and more... But like so many great punk bands, SPOCK’s journey was cut short. After a few years of tearing up the scene and releasing their first EP Americans Do It Better, SPOCK went their separate ways, eachpursuing their own musical endeavors. However, the spirit of SPOCK never died, lingering in the hearts and minds of their devoted fans. Fast forward to 2023, and the unthinkable happened – SPOCK reunited. Fuelled by a shared passion for punk rock and a desire to recapture the magic of their youth, the original members came together once again to reignite the flames of rebellion and chaos. Now, with a newfound sense of purpose and determination, SPOCK is back and ready to take on the world once more.
Their music is as ferocious and unapologetic as ever, tackling issues of social injustice,
political corruption, and the struggles of everyday life with a fierce sense of urgency.
Whether they're playing to packed crowds at sold-out shows or tearing it up in the
dingiest dive bars, SPOCK is here to remind the world that punk rock never dies – it just
lays dormant, waiting for the right moment to rise again. So grab your leather jacket,
spike up your hair, and get ready to join the rebellion – because SPOCK is back, and
they're ready to tear shit up like never before.
